According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Dalton is reportedly an option for Philadelphia after the team released him last week. With Jalen Hurts ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers, the Eagles could use some additional experience in their quarterback room.

Dalton already knows the Eagles’ offensive system and has spent time working with the coaching staff. His 16 seasons of NFL experience could make him a valuable insurance option as Philadelphia navigates a difficult stretch.

For now, Tanner McKee is expected to step in for Hurts, with rookie Cole Payton also available. But bringing Dalton back could give the Eagles another experienced option if they decide they need additional depth.
