Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid revealed that Adam Sandler officiated Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding with “a little bit of humor and also some sensitivity.”

Reid said Sandler delivered some unexpected yet poignant advice to the couple July 3 before they were officially pronounced husband and wife during a CNN interview Sunday.

“He said, ‘kiss every chance you have, every single day,’” Reid said.

“‘So whether you’re going to bed or going to work … go ahead and kiss her.’”

Reid said he was moved by the simple wedding advice.

“And I thought that was … in a simple way, in its simplest form, really, was touching that way,” he told CNN.

Deseret News reporter Krysyan Edler shared a video sunday on X where Reid praised Sandler again. The Chiefs coach had been attending a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS) event in Utah.

“In a simply, hysterical way, he was a phenomenal … he’s crazy, but he did a great job in getting them married with a lot of humor but that part there, I thought — pretty good advice, in its simplest form,” Reid said.

“[Sandler] told them to keep kissing,” Reid said earlier in the video. “Hard to argue with, ‘give your wife a kiss,’ or your wife gives you a kiss.”

Reid continued, “Make sure you do it every day, every minute, if you have an opportunity to do it, knock it out, and you won’t have problems.”

Swift and Kelce celebrated their nuptials in a star-studded wedding July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Sandler, a long-time fan of Swift, cast Kelce in his 2025 film “Happy Gilmore 2,” and has been married to his wife, Jackie Titone Sandler, for approximately 23 years.
